Kerala: Thiruvananthapuram Medical College gets a special 'Fever Ward'

Thiruvananthapuram: Fever epidemic in the state will be soon looked after in ward 22 of the Thiruvananthapuram Medical College. The special ward, opened for this purpose by the hospital is geared to attend to all fever patients, and is equipped with all essential facilities, to handle fevers in patients. Apart from the fever ward, a fever clinic has also been initiated.


Ward No 22, called 'the fever ward' at the hospital is equipped with mosquito nets and other facilities to beat fevers.It is the first fever ward set up in a medical college of a state, after the onset of monsoon.


With a 40 patient strength, the fever ward has deployed doctors from the Community Medicine Department. The hospital authorities assure that all precautions will be taken to keep fevers from spreading at this ward . Those confirmed with fevers are to be admitted in this ward alone, reports TNIE.
