Kerala: Rs. 15.8 crore administrative sanction for Kottayam Medical College

The Kottayam Government Medical College has been given administrative sanction worth Rs. 15.80 crore, as part of the initiative to make it a centre of excellence announced Health Minister K.K. Shylaja.


The fund sanctioned would be used for improving the hospital and creating more facilities for both employees and patients.


According to budget allocations Rs. 5.43 crore will be utilized for campus renovation; Rs. 6.70 crore for the construction of an epidemic ward and a building for storing medicines. While a diesel generator is to be installed at Rs. 1.05 crore.


The above are the Ist phase development initiatives planned for Kottayam MCH, Ms. Shylaja said in a statement here, reported the Hindu.
