Kerala: Government fixes PG medical fee

Thiruvanathapuram: A new fee structure has been sanctioned by the state government for colleges that come under the Kerala Christian Professional College Management Federation for the academic year 2017-18.


The fee fixed by the government for PG medical courses(clinical) is Rs 14 lakh and the Non-clinical PG degree 8.5 lakh. The figures have been worked out after discussions between the Health Minister and the Federation representatives.


The consensus reached for PG diploma (Clinical), Super specialty, and NRI quota fee is: Rs. 10.5 lakh, 18.5 lakh and Rs. 35 lakh respectively.


The R. Rajendra Babu Fee Regulatory Committee has made this fee structure legitimate for all other self financing colleges of the state, by passing an order to this effect on Friday, reports Hindu.


Till last year, the fees for merit seats in clinical and non-clinical seats were Rs 6.5 lakh and 2.6 lakh respectively reports Mathrubhumi
