Kozhikode: Chief Minister, Pinarayi Vijayan, has been alerted and urged to take immediate action towards sanctioning of release of funds allotted for various projects of the Kozhikode Medical College Hospital (KMCH) by MK Raghavan MP.

In a letter to the Chief Minister, the member of parliament has mentioned projects that have been affected due to administrative sanction delays.

To name a few, Raghavan mentioned the three tier cancer centre, purchase of advanced equipment, disposal of biomedical waste and Pradhan Mantri Swasthya Suraksha Yojana (PMSSY) scheme execution, as some of the implementations delayed.

He brought to the notice of the chief minister that even if the sanctions were given immediately, it would take a month and a half to get funds.

The college has a 30 crore project allocation, assigned for the year 2016-2017. He said, any further delay would hit all development works related to the college.
