Karnataka: Road accident kills 4 medical students

Ramnagaram: Four medical students from colleges of Bengaluru and Tamil Nadu met with instantaneous death when the car in which they were heading towards Bangaluru from Mysuru in the early hours of the morning on Friday. The car is believed to have hit the median crossed the lane and rammed into a truck from Haryana heading towards an unknown destination. The driver is missing.


The incident is reported to have occurred on the Bengaluru-Mysuru highway, on the outskirts of Bengaluru.


The deceased have been identified by the police as Joel Jacob, son of Jacob M. Thomas, Maruthikkunil, Kallooppara; Nikh hit Jose Sudeep, son of Sudeep, Vettipram, Pathanamthitta;. Rebecca and Jeena Divya. All it is claimed were childhood mates. Two of them are said to be from Rajarajeshwari Medical College, Bengaluru, and the other two from VIT college, Vellore, Tamil Nadu. All the four are believed to have hailed from Kerala, reports Hindu.
