Karnataka: Cabinet approval for seven Paramedical Colleges in the State

In order to increase the numbers of paramedics in the state, the cabinet has approved the idea of setting up the seven news paramedical institutions in different districts of the karnataka state.


The seven new paramedical institutions would include:




  • Lakshmi Paramedical College, Bengaluru

  • Mangala Paramedical College, Mangaluru

  • Netra Paramedical College, Udupi

  • Nijalingappa Medical College, Hangal

  • Gautham Paramedical College, Bengaluru

  • Oxford College, Bengaluru

  • HCG Institute of Oncology, Bengaluru


In the meeting held on 31st August, 2016, Law and Parliamentary Affairs Minister T B Jayachandra informed about the approved proposal of the state Government to open new seven paramedical colleges. He also informed that the government has approved allotment of 320 seats to these institutions, reports Deccan Herald
