Karnataka: Assistant Professor found dead in her Medical College hostel room

Bengaluru: Lakshmi (30), an assistant Professor of Asram Medical College was discovered dead in her hostel room, on Tuesday afternoon after returning from her native place Ramachandrapuram in East Godavari district, on Monday. Lakshmi had gone to her home town as reported by her parents, as she had been feeling depressed and found it difficult to discharge her duties in an efficient manner.


Her parents who spoke to her over the phone had advised her to keep her spirits up and not feel discouraged and work with concentration. Lakshmi on her return to the college, did not resume duty, the next day. When her colleagues went to her room to find out the reason for her absence from work, they found her lying dead.


The Eluru police who were informed, on reaching her room could not find any clue to the cause of death. They suspect Lakshmi to have taken her life by consuming a pesticide. A case of death under mysterious circumstance has been registered, reports TNIE.
