Karnataka: Anatomy Museum launched at Vydehi Institute of Medical Sciences

Karnataka: Great news for lovers of the anatomy subject. Minister of health and family welfare, U T Khader laid down the foundation stone of new anatomy Museum at Vydehi Institute of Medical Sciences and Research Centre.

The center is build on an area of one lakh square feet and its is equipped with 10,000 specimens of human body parts. This new unit is designed to as a training centre for students from various schools and colleges to help them understand the human body better.

Speaking with local daily Dr G Mohan, medical superintendent, Vydehi Institute of Medical Sciences and Research Centre, said, “Specimens of the human body, normal and abnormal parts that medical experts have seen and specimens from medico-legal cases that have been collected by the forensic sciences team have been put together in the museum.”

During the launch of said museum, a mega health camp was organized in memory of founder chairperson of the hospital D K Audikesavulu to treat people at free of coast. Free medicines were also distributed to those who attended the camp.The camp was also inaugurated by the minister.
