KAP Viswanatham Medical College gets 21 new faculty posts

Tiruchi: KAP Viswanatham Government Medical College, Tiruchi has been sanctioned 21 new posts for its Super Specialty Departments by the state government.

The new posts will grant one new professor each to the departments of Neo-natology Medical Oncology, Surgical Oncology, Neurology, Gastroenterology and Cardiothoracic. The remaining 13 are to be assistant professor posts for super specialty wings of the college.

The aim behind the creation of these new posts is to provide Tiruchi, Ariyalur, Karur, and Perambalur hospital patients with super specialty treatments. The new posts would also bring about effective utilization of the super specialty wings, said Dean, Mary lilly. 30 nurse posts for the block have also been sanctioned she further stated to the Hindu.
