Justice James Panel issues two more notices to private medical colleges

THIRUVANANTHAPURAM: Justice James Panel has issued notices to two more self financing medical college managements, asking them to maintain transparency in their admission processes for candidates applying for MBBS seats under the management quota.


Azeezia Medical College was directed by the Committee, to give students applying, time till 5 pm, Wednesday, to rectify mistakes pointed out by them for rejection of candidature.


P K Das Institute of Medical Sciences is the other institution that was asked to give time to their applicants for necessary amendments.


"The complainants shall appear with required documents and fees before the college principal on Wednesday, between 10 a.m. and 1 p.m." the committee said, while considering the complaints it received against the college, on Tuesday.


The court after having heard the complaints of five private medical colleges, asked majority of the college managements to give another chance to applicants for re submission of documents.


There were allegations made by the applicants that there admissions had been cancelled on weak grounds, and in some cases, it was found that the published rank lists were also incomplete.
