Following Government orders, NBE announces New scores as per reduced NEET PG 2019 cut off percentile

New Score as per Reduced cut off percentile for NEET PG 2019 has just been announced.




New Delhi: Following the announcement made by the Central Government to reduce the qualifying percentile score for NEET PG 2019 counselling, the National Board of Examinations (NBE) has now announced the new corresponding qualifying scores as per the reduced percentile


Medical dialogues team had recently reported that the central government had recently reduced the qualifying NEET PG Percentile for this year's candidates only. Confirmation to this effect was recently made by the Union Health Secretary, Shri Amit Biswas to all the principal secretaries ( Medical Education/Health) in all the states/union territories announcing the percentile for NEET PG 2019 candidates



Now, following the policy move, NBE revealed for the information to all the candidates appearing for MOP UP and Stray vacancy round of NEET PG Counselling (2019-2020) that the Central Government in consultation with Medical Council of India (MCI) has decided to reduce the percentile cutoffs for NEET-PG (2019-2020) by 6 percentile.


It takes the qualifying criteria to 44 percentile for general category candidates, 39 percentile for Persons with Disabilities category and 34 percentile for SC/ST/OBC category candidates. Marks so lowered by the Central Government are applicable for the academic year 2019-20 only.



With this the revised cut-off score for the general candidates has been reduced to 313, for SC/ST/OBC candidates, it has been reduced to 270 whereas for Persons with Disability, the revised score has been reduced to 291.



In accordance with Ministry of Health & Family Welfare, Govt of India letter F.No.V.11012/5/2009-ME (P-I) dated 07th May 2019, the minimum qualifying percentiles have been lowered as follows:

The revised scorecard of all the candidates who appeared in NEET-PG 2019 can be downloaded from NEET-PG website https://nbe.edu.in/ shortly. The revised Scorecard will not be sent individually to the candidates.


Candidature is purely provisional subject to fulfilment of eligibility criteria as mentioned in NEET-PG 2019 Information Bulletin.


It may be noted that there is no change in NEET-PG 2019 Rank.


The revised result for All India 50% PG quota seats for NEET-PG 2019 shall be declared separately.
