Junagadh Medical College Dean's house vandalized for suspending Biomedical Engineer

Rajkot: Junagadh Medical College Dean, seems to have paid a heavy price for suspending a bio medical engineer of the college for negligence at work.


Two people barged into Dean, Suresh Rathod's bungalow late on Tuesday night, and after beating the guard at the gate, indulged in acts of vandalism and also threatened to kill him before departing, for putting Hardik Nimavat under suspension.


Naming the culprit behind this act as Nilesh Kangad, Dean Rathod informed the police that the accused had called him up on Tuesday in the day on his mobile and hurled abuses and demanded to know why the bio medical engineer had been suspended by him.The Dean was threatened of dire consequences, if he did not take back his suspension order, and reinstated Nimavat. However, Rathod disconnected the phone, when despite his asking Kangad to stop bad mouthing, the culprit continued to use foul language


According to the Dean, later in the night, two men barged into his house, broke his window panes, and threatened to take his life before leaving.


Kangad has been booked for criminal intimidation, reports TOI.
