International Fellowships/Scholarships to foreign nationals for undertaking AYUSH courses in premier Institutes
The Ministry of AYUSH under its Central Sector Scheme for promotion of International Cooperation provides International Fellowships/Scholarships to foreign nationals for undertaking AYUSH courses in premier Institutes in India with the aim for global promotion/propagation of AYUSH systems of medicine. The Ministry of AYUSH had provided 21, 39 and 52 Fellowships/Scholarships during the academic year 2013-14, 2014-15 and 2015-16 respectively.
Further, two new institutes viz. All India Institute of Ayurveda, New Delhi and North Eastern Institute of Ayurveda & Homoeopathy, Shillong are in advanced stage of construction.
The assistance given by the Government of India under the component of Development of AYUSH Institutions of National AYUSH Mission (NAM) is facilitating improvement in infrastructure in AYUSH Colleges and attached Hospitals and thereby improving quality of existing educational Institutions.
The Morarji Desai National Institute of Yoga (MDNIY), New Delhi, an autonomous body under the Ministry of AYUSH, provides scholarship to its students for pursuing Diploma in Yoga Science. Details of the scholarship granted during the last three years are as under:
