IIM Banglore, Apollo Mediskills Certificate Programme for Healthcare professionals

Bangalore: Indian Institute of Management Bangalore (IIMB) and Apollo Medskills have launched a Certificate Programme in General Management for the Healthcare professionals. The programme inauguration will be held at the IIMB campus on August 2nd (Tuesday).


The programme has been well received by the healthcare sector and has attracted a large number of applications from a highly competent pool of aspirants from various sections of the healthcare industry. A selection committee carried out a careful examination of each application. Selection for the first batch of 35 participants to the programme was based on the candidate’s profile and fit with the programme’s mission and objectives. The committee kept in mind the requirement to ensure an adequate batch diversity in terms of background as well as experience.


The event will start off with an overview of Executive Education Programmes offered at IIM Bangalore, by Madan Mohan Raj, Chief Programme Officer. This will be followed by the lighting of the lamp by Sangita Reddy, Joint Managing Director, Apollo Hospitals Enterprise Limited, who will then deliver the inaugural address.


Faculty Directors of the programme, Professor Rajluxmi V Murthy and Professor Shankar Venkatagiri, from IIMB, and Dr. Pulijala Srinivasa Rao, CEO, Apollo Medskills will address the participants.


The programme will be delivered at IIMB. The classes in Bangalore will be conducted in synchronous mode using two-way video and audio along with auxiliary technologies supporting rich interaction between the faculty in Bangalore and participants from pan India. The programme also proposes field trips in every module to facilitate experiential learning.
