High Court dismisses petition against Tamil Nadu Dr MGR Medical University VC on nepotism charges

Chennai: Madras High Court declined to entertain a PIL which accused vice-chancellor of Tamil Nadu Dr MGR Medical University Dr Geethalakshmi of appointing her doctor-husband R Sugumar and doctor-sister S Usha as members of top academic bodies, and purchasing a high-end cars against rules.


The petitioner Varaaki sought a direction to the Governor to take action against the vice-chancellor.
