Health ministry grants funds to boost paramedical education

Ministry has developed model curricula for seven Allied Health disciplines and the same is uploaded on the Ministry's website.


In a Centrally Sponsored Scheme namely "Setting up and strengthening of State Institutions of Allied Health Sciences in States and setting up of colleges of Allied Health Education", an amount of Rs. 10.89 Crore has been released to two Govt. Medical Colleges in the State of Maharashtra namely :–




  • BJ Medical College and Sasoon General Hospital, Pune, Maharashtra – Rs 4.95 crore



  • Miraj Medical College and Sangli General Hospital, Miraj, Maharashtra - Rs 5.94 crore


The Health Minister, Shri J P Nadda stated this in a written reply in the Lok Sabha here today.
