Govt urged to bring vacant MBBS seats under NRI quota

Puducherry: Parents and Students Welfare Association (PSWA) President Y Bala alias Balasubramnian urged the government to drop its move to bring the vacant MBBS seats in the government medical college under NRI Quota.

In a letter to Chief Minister V Narayanasamy, Bala pointed out that of the present 180 first year MBBS seats in the government medical college here, 27 were allotted under central government quota and 22 under NRI quota.
