Government Medical College's Alumni Meet attended by 100 batchmates

Amritsar: The 'Alumni Meet' organized by the Government Medical College(GMC) for its 1966 MBBS batch here today, saw almost a 100 medical graduates pour into the city, to share memories at this two day event.


Besides reliving memories of times shared, the batch mates, now prominent specialists in their respective fields in all parts of the world, also discussed various advances in medicine, during the medical education sessions organized on day one of the Alumni get together.


Dr Ranbir Singh Pannu, an eye specialist and member of the batch said meeting old friends after almost four decades was encouraging. He said, “We take pride when we see that the people, who were in our class, have made a mark for themselves in the world.”|


Old college teachers, including Dr Balwant Singh Tung and Dr Kirpal Kaur, were also present. Members of the Organizing Committee of the ‘Alumni Meet’ said they would also visit their college on Sunday and take a tour of the city later on.
