Four wanted criminals including woman arrested in Jhansi

Jhansi: Four wanted criminals accused of murder and loot in Maharani Lakshmi Bai Medical College premises here, were arrested from the railway station when they were trying to escape.


Police sources here on Monday said four persons including a woman were arrested for murder and loot in medical college premises on May 17. The culprits had in broad daylight murdered the wife of a X-ray technician residing in the campus and looted the residence reported a local
daily
.

The incident had indeed created a huge uproar with people residing in the campus crying out for their security.

One accused was arrested earlier while other four were absconding, the reward of Rs 25,000 was announced for their arrest.


Almost two and a half months later, police made progress in managing to nab the culprits. They were arrested at the railway station when they were trying to escape.


Arrested accused were identified as Arjun alias Bunty, Golu, Dhanraj alias Makkad and Pushpa and murder weapon, one mobile and other looted items were recovered from them.
