FMGE June 2019: NBE releases list of withheld results due to Deficient Documents

New Delhi: The National Board of Examinations, (NBE) has published the list of candidates who appeared for Foreign Medical Graduates Examination 2019, (FMGE 2019) June Session and whose results had been withheld due to deficiency in documents

Results of certain candidates are withheld for FMGE June 2019 for want of prescribed documents as per Information Bulletin for FMGE June 2019. The list of candidates is attached below


These candidates have been apprised of the deficient documents in their applications through emails sent at their registered email ID earlier as well. Despite reminders, the required documents have not been furnished as per formats detailed in the Information Bulletin June 2019.

All concerned candidates are hereby given a final opportunity to submit to NBE the deficient documents in their applications latest by 21st October 2019 (17:00hrs), only through their registered email ID at fmge@natboard.edu.in failing which they shall be declared ineligible.

The self-attested copies of documents should be scanned with scanner in .pdf format for submission. Hard copies of deficient documents are not required to be submitted. Incomplete/ illegible/ unclear/unattested documents shall not be processed. Documents sent to any other email ID of NBE shall not be processed

No further opportunity shall be extended.

Earlier, NBE had released the result of 275, 213, 40, 110, 69 and 87 candidates.


For the June 2019 session, a total of 13,364 candidates appeared for taking up the FMGE exam. Of which, 2,767 have qualified, 9,006 candidates have failed. The results of 1,161 candidates have been withheld and 430 candidates were marked absent.

The entrance examination, FMGE is an examination mandatory for all Foreign Medical Graduates (FMGs) in order to be able to practice in India.

The National Board of Examinations (NBE), the conducting body of FMGE states that the FMGE-Screening Test has been introduced through the Screening Test Regulations 2002. As per the regulations, "An Indian citizen/Overseas citizen of India possessing a primary medical qualification awarded by any medical institution outside India who is desirous of getting provisional or permanent registration with Medical Council of India or any State Medical Council on or after 15.03.2002 shall have to qualify a screening test conducted by the prescribed authority for that purpose as per the provisions of section 13 of the Act."

As per the notification released by the NBE, "Each and every question in FMGE June 2019 was reviewed by the faculty members from the concerned speciality after the conduct of FMGE June 2019 to re-check for technical correctness of the questions as well as answer keys. As per inputs from the faculty members, a total of 2 questions were found to be technically incorrect in the Question paper of FMGE June 2019. Full marks have been awarded to all the candidates for these questions irrespective of the fact whether these have been attempted or left unattempted by the candidates."
