Ex- Principal, Tanda medical College fined Rs 5 lakh by new one

Dharamshala: A Rs. 5,23,000 fine has been imposed upon the former Principal of Dr. Rajendra Prasad Medical College, Tanda by the present one for not having vacated the residential accommodation.


Dr. Ramesh Bharati, Principal of the college carried out the act upon Dr Anil Chouhan, promoted to the post of Director, Medical Education, in December 2016, but not having vacated his official accommodation.


“A letter in this regard has been issued and the higher authorities informed. But neither has the amount been deposited nor any reply received from Chouhan,” Bharti in conversation with TOI revealed.


Dr Chouhan refrained from commenting on the issue to the daily. According to sources said he had notified to the health department in May 2017, that he would like to continue living in the accommodation given to him for some time. His present posting is in the district of Hamirpur reports TOI.


According to Bharti, the penalty was imposed by a committee looking into the affairs of accommodation at Tanda Medical College.
