Dr B S Sharma Oration inaugurated at Netaji Subhash Chandra Bose Medical College

MP: Dr B S Sharma Oration Programme and 15th Endoscopy Fellowship Programme at Netaji Subhash Chandra Bose Medical College and Hospital was inaugurated by Chief guest, Vice-Chancellor, Madhya Pradesh Medical Sciences University, Dr R S Sharma recently.


Dr. Sharma in his inaugural address said that with the recent advances in the field of neurosurgery budding neurosurgeon were bound to benefit from such oration programs.


Dr B P Sharma, Head Department of Neurosurgery, AIIMS, New Delhi delivered lecture on upgradation of techniques in endoscopic neurosurgery in recent years, and how successful minimal invasive neurosurgery has registered success in the recent years.


Head Department, Neurosurgery, NSCBMCH Convener, Dr Y R Yadav, informed that large numbers of neurosurgeons from different Countries were participating in the workshop on Neurological surgery at the Medical College and Hospital reports Hitavada.


Dr B S Sharma oration was given by Dr B K Mishra of Hinduja Hospital, Mumbai.


Dr Yadav revealed that two patients of pituitary tumor, one case of CSF rhinorhoea, one case of lumbar spondylitis had been done by Prof BS Sharma. He further informed that two cases of cervical spondylosis, two cases of craniovertebral junction anomaly, one case of intraventricular tumour were done by Dr Y R Yadav and Dr Shailendra Ratre, Giving more details he said one case of hydrocephalus, one case of trigeminal neuralgia, one case of brain tumour were done by Dr Vijay Parihar.


Earlier, Dr Sharma, Dean, Dr Chouhan, Dr B K Mishra of Hinduja Hospital Mumbai inaugurated the Neuroendoscopy workshop and participated in the lamp lighting ceremony before Goddess Saraswati.
