NEET SS 2019 Reduced Cutoff DM, MCh Admissions: MCC issues notice on eligibility for Stray Vacancy Round
New Delhi: With the reduced cutoff percentile for NEET SS candidates now being announced, the Medical Counselling Committee (MCC) has informed about the Eligibility of candidates for participation in Stray Vacancy Round, who intend to take admission to DM and MCh Courses for the academic session 2019-20.
Medical Dialogues had earlier reported that the Ministry of Health and Family Welfare (MoHFW), Government of India and the National Board of Examinations (NBE) has lowered the cut off percentile or qualifying marks for NEET SS 2019 candidates.
The reduction in cutoff percentile for admission to NEET SS courses for this academic year was done after the Board of Governors reviewed the proposal in terms of vacant seats and the number of additional eligible candidates to be provided for filling the vacancies in SS courses. In principle, it was decided that the reduction in percentile should provide atleast double the number of vacant seats.
In the Super-specialty courses of CTVS, Cardiology and Paediatric Surgery, the minimum qualifying percentiles have been lowered to 20th Percentile.
For the remaining Super Specialty courses, the minimum qualifying percentiles have been lowered to 40th Percentile.
Now, the recent MCC notice states the following:
Candidates who have become after lowered percentile can register online as per schedule uploaded on MCC website.
The Eligibility for participation in Stray Vacancy Round is as under:
1. Registered Candidates Not Allotted any seat during Round-1 or round-2 of the counselling. Such candidates can directly log in and do Choice Filling.
2. Candidates who have become eligible after Reduced Cut- off percentile can do Fresh Registration after payment of fees.
Attention:- Candidates who are allotted a seat in Stray Vacancy Round and do not join the allotted college will get their Security deposit forfeited.
