DM Cardiology Course to start at Kurnool Medical College

Vijaywada: Bringing good news for cardiology aspirants across the Country, it is reported that soon, Kurnool Medical College would be able to offer medical seats in the super-specialty of cardiology. This comes after Dr NTR University of Health Sciences announced the permission to Kurnool Medical College to start DM Cardiology Course from this Academic session itself. The annoucement was made by college Principal G.S. Ramprasad.


As per the announcement, The college has received the permission to start DM Cardiology course under the NTR University of Health Sciences with two seats in the field as reported by Dr Ramprasad to Hindu.


The Post-Graduate Medical Education Committee considered the compliance verification assessment report and the council assessor’s report and compliance submitted by the college authorities and recommended to the Central Government to permit starting of the DM Cardiology course with two seats at Kurnool Medical College under the NTR University of Health Sciences, Ramprasad added.


P. Chandrasekhar, Head of Cardiology in Kurnool General Hospital, and K. Prabhakara Reddy, Cardiothoracic surgeon, presented a bouquet to the college principal and lauded him for securing permission for the course.


Kurnool medical College was first opened on 21 July 1956 by Sri T.T. Krishnamachari, the then Finance Minister of India.
