Depression kills: Senior Resident doctor of Nizamabad Medical College commits suicide

Hyderabad: Another suicide by a senior resident doctor V. Madhu of Nizamabad Medical College has created a furor among medical professionals. Madhu hung himself to take his life. There is a discussion among medical professional about a need for junior doctors coming forward and seeking professional help well in time.


Dr Madhu according to his friends was suffering from a chronic depression. The medical circles are abuzz with the need for the Medical Council of India(MCI), including stress management and psychology classes for doctors in medical colleges, reports Deccan Chronicle.
