Demand for inquiry into MBBS admission in Jipmer on fake nativity certificate
Puducherry: Alleging that a girl student got provisionally admitted in Jipmer here under Puducherry quota by submitting a fake nativity certificate, Mr Y Balasubramanian, President of the Puducherry Students and Parents Welfare Association (PSPWA) on Monday urged District Collector to conduct an inquiry and intiate suitable action on the issue.
In a letter to District Collector V Arun, Mr Balasubramanian said Krithiga got admission in Jipmer with a nativity claiming to be Puducherry resident under the Puducherry quota while she wrote her NEET Exam in Chennai with a resident certificate of one from Kancheepuram in Tamil Nadu.
Her father is working as a professor in Puducherry Engineering college, he pointed out.
Obtaining dual nativity certificate by the same student is a crime, he said and demanded that action be taken against all those indulged in forgery.
He said since, the Centralized Admission Committee (CAC) of the government, Jipmer management, Police here or Puducherry Revenue Department failed to initiate action on complaints received in 2016-17 ,the Puducherry students are being deprived of their seats through ‘Back Door” continuously.
Mr Balasubramanian said he had written to the Union Home Ministry with all evidences seeking a CBI probe into the alleged irregularities in admissions to Jipmer.
