Dean,Reserach, Pondicherry Institute of Medical Sciences conferred Dr HI Jhala Memorial Award

Puducherry: Dr Reba Kanungo, Dean, Research and Head of Clinical Microbiology, Pondicherry Institute of Medical Sciences (PIMS),has been recognized for her effort and contribution in the field of Clinical Microbiology and Allied Research Activities for the past 35 years by National Body of the Indian Association of Medical Microbiologists, which has appointed her the Dr H I Jhala Memorial Award.

She received the honour at the 41st annual conference of the association held at Rajendra Institute of Medical Science (RIMS), Ranchi, said a release.

The lady shared her work expertise and academic inputs with undergraduate and postgraduate students at expertise Jawaharlal Institute of Postgraduate Medical Education and Research (Jipmer), Pims, and BP Koirala Institute of Health Sciences (BPKIHS)

Ms. Kanungo has published 113 research publications in peer-reviewed national and international journals, is a member of several academic committees and is a specialist in antibiotic resistance in respiratory pathogens, reports TOI.
