Dead line of 10 October set for online upload by medical colleges
Hyderabad:Comprehensive and detailed information related to staff and faculty has been asked for from medical colleges by the Supreme Court appointed oversight Committee,on the Medical Council of India. The information desired is to include students' feedback, students and teachers attendance, date and time of lectures etc.The deadline set for both electronic and physical submission being Oct 10.
A circular signed by the MCI Secretary, Dr. Reena Nayyar to this effect was issued on Wednesday
In the state of Telangana, the move though welcomed by the Telangana Junior Doctors' Association (TJUDA), has created an apprehension among college managements.
The managements are of the opinion, that the delayed admissions process under Eamcet-III and NEET for the NRI and management category has kept them preoccupied and loading such detailed information, at such a short notice, would end up becoming a cumbersome task.
One of the representatives of a private medical association said that, it would be a near impossibility to upload this information in such a short span of time, specially, with staff being on Dussehra vacation.
Dr. G Sirinivas , TJUDA State President, meanwhile, was of the opinion that the feedback would go a long way in helping medicos bring their problems to the notice of the MCI.
However, the difficulty would lie in the uploading of the monthly census data of patient admissions, discharges, procedures surgeries, and investigations in each department on the college website.
