Gwalior: The latest instruction issued by the Vice Chancellor, Medical University, Prof R S Sharma states that all nursing exams including the practical exams will be held in government colleges under the watchful eyes of CCTV cameras. This is being done to put an end to the copying menace during nursing examinations at Colleges of Nursing in the state.

It has also come to the notice of the Vice Chancellor that violations like admissions being given to students with the promise of a nursing degree without coming to the college and without appearing in the exams were being given to students by Nursing College managements in connivance with brokers and Jiwaji University staff.

It is believed some private colleges had approached the Jiwaji University’s Examination Controller to conduct the practical exams in one of the private colleges so that marks could be given to those students who did not sit for the exam. When this reached the Vice Chancellor’s ears, he ordered that all practical exams be supervised by the Dean and held at Gaja Raja Medical College reports the Pioneer.

The notification in this regard was sent to the concerned officials, on Saturday. The notification went on to state that while all the theory exams are to be held in the Jiwaji University, all practical exams are to take place in the GRMC.

Talking to the Prof RS Sharma, Vice Chancellor, Medical University, Jabalpur said that there is zero tolerance towards mass copying and the University is taking all steps to stop this unethical and unprofessional conduct.
