Childhood friends from Bihar held in Bangalore Medical seats cheating case

Abhimanyu and Kamran collected the data of students who qualified in NEET Exams. Later they called them on the telephone and informed them that they would arrange medical college seats ona commission basis.


Hyderabad: The sleuths of Commissioner's Task Force ( West Zone team) arrested two Bihari childhood friends, who cheated innocent people in the guise of providing medical seats in Bangalore, by collecting huge money.


The arrested include Abhimanyu Kumar Singh alias Dinesh Kumar Singh alias Arnav Kumar Singh, Medicine Businessman and Suryanarayana Jha alias Deepak alias Rishikanth alias Chandra Prakash, a medical representative, while another Kamran Hussain alias ShashankShekhar alias Abhinav Kishore and Asgar Sayeed alias Abhay, who were also from Bihar, are absconding, a police statement said here on Friday.


Net cash of Rs 24.96 lakh, visiting cards, cell phones and other incriminating documents were recovered from their possession.


Abhimanyu studied up to B Tech (CSE) at Pune and his father was a Medical officer at DMCH (Darbhanga Medical College and Hospital), Darbhanga, Bihar.


At present, the accused is doing Medicine transport business at Bihar.


Another accused Suryanarayana studied up to Intermediate at Darbanga, Bihar and his father was a government employee.


At present, the accused is working as Medical Representative at MP Health Care, Darbanga, Bihar.


Modus operandi, about three years back, accused Abhimanyu came into contact with Kamran Hussain at Patna and they both developed friendship with each other.


Due to financial problems, both hatched a plan to cheat the innocent persons under the guise of providing Medical college seats at Bangalore Colleges by taking huge money from them.


Abhimanyu and Kamran collected the data of students who qualified in NEET Exams. Later they called them on telephone and informed them that they would arrange medical college seats on commission basis. Basing on their words the innocent persons approached them for arrange of medical in colleges on commission basis.


In this manner they have collected huge money from them but they did not arrange any seats for them in any college and there by cheated the innocent parents.


Later in the month of April-2017, the both accused persons opened a consultancy office on the name of "SKY BRIDGE INFOTECH CONSULTANTS" at Somajiguda in , Hyderabad with fake names.


They offered Rs.60 to Rs.80 Lakhs per each seat including their commission and the accused collected Rs.48 Lakhs from the 18 customers and absconded by closing the office.


Later, the victims approached the management of Medical colleges at Bangalore, they came to know that they were cheated by the accused persons.


Victims returned to Hyderabad and lodged complaints at Panjagutta Police Station.


In the month of May 2018, the accused went to Bhopal and opened a consultancy office on the name of "ASCENT" (positively different) at Bhopal al by changing their names and and cheated the innocent needy persons in the same manner by collecting Rs 40 lakh from them.


Search was on to trace out the absconding Kamran and Asgar Sayeed, the statement added.
