Chhattisgarh Pre-Medical Test 2016 results published
Chhattisgarh Pre-Medical Test (CGPMT) 2016 examination results were published recently. Akshay Kumar from Ambikapur in Sarguja region is the topper for 2016 examination, scoring 140.920 marks to hold the first position in the pre-entrance medical test. Akshay also secured 953 rank in the AIIMS MBBS entrance examination.
The merit list of CGPMT also shows Shubham Lekhwani and Nihal Pakhedkar are the 2nd and 3rd rank holders. Both of them hail from Raipur.
Among the top 10 rank holders are Pradeep Patel (Raigarh), Bhavana Saraswat (Raipur), Jitendra ( gariyaband), Mansi nema (Bhilai), Poornima Sahu ( Bilaspur), Mukesh Agrawal (janjgir Champa) and Shreya Gupta (Ambikapur).
CGPMT examination conducted on June 15 saw 29,000 medical aspirants appearing for the test. The results can be downloaded on the website of Chhattisgarh Professional Examination Board.
CGPMT was held across the state at 106 centres, with Raipur hosting 18 examination centres. The test was held in two shifts of morning and afternoon.
There was protest reported earlier by Akhil Bharatiya Vidyarthi Parishad (ABVP) demanding extension of the exam date from Chhattisgarh Professional Examination Board (CGPEB). The ABVP members were demanding extension from the CGPEB Examination Controller, Dr Pradeep Chaube, to conduct the exam on June 19 in place of June 15. This was in view that June 15 is a working day and parents of students may not be able to accompany their children. However, the exam was later conducted as per its fixed schedule of June 15.
This time the exam was conducted in two shifts with heightened security. Students were made to arrive one and a half hour before the test at their designated centre. Candidates could download the admit cards on the CGPEB website cgvyapam.choice.gov.in. Students were also required to carry required documents at the exam centres to gain entry into the exam centre. Besides, a postcard size colour photograph was required to be carried. No CGPEB admit cards were sent by post. Students were also frisked using metal detectors, with CCTV installed at examination centres.
