PGIMER 5th Annual Institute Research Day sees 190 papers on display

Chandigarh: The 5th Annual Institute Research Day had the Post Graduate Institute of Medical Education and Research (PGIMER) display with pride the 190 exemplary research papers published till present day.


Ex-Director, AIIMS, New Delhi, and presently Vice-Chancellor of the Mahatma Gandhi University of Medical Sciences and Technology, Jaipur, Prof.MC Mishra and Director CSIR-IMTECH, Prof Anil Koul, graced the occasion, the former as a guest of Honour.


Professor Jagat Ram, Director, PGIMER about the substantial and credible research work carried out by the Institute for the past many years, and the rich heritage of the Institute in the field of research.


20,000 in-depth research articles have been published in various national and international journals, ever since the institute was established.


Besides which 1,200 research papers written by eminent educationist are published every year by the PGIMER. There was an in-depth interaction between the distinguished guests attending and the PGI Faculty present regarding their published researchers and future plans.


Prof Jagat Ram, Director, PGI; and Prof Digambar Behera, Dean (Research), and Prof Rajesh Kumar, Dean (Academics), introduced the faculty and other prominent people present to the distinguished guests, reports the Tribune.
