Bihar: Emergency blood bank inspection clearance at AIIMS Patna

Patna: The Surgical Department, Head, Dr Anurag Srivastava's clearance to the emergency & blood bank of AIIMS-Patna, after facility inspection has resulted in the Director, Dr Prabhat Kumar Sinha announcing its operation commencement, next month. Dr. Sirivastava, inspected the health hubs department


"The blood bank will be reviewed on November 8 or 9. We are headed towards the right path and hope to start the emergency and blood bank facilities soon," Dr Prabhat said.


Dr Srivastava expressing satisfaction said the commencement of emergency and blood bank operation would result in people of the state stopping to go down to Delhi for advanced surgery.

"People who first visit primary health centers (PHC) and other medical colleges but do not receive satisfactory results can visit AIIMS-Patna," he told TOI.


According to a faculty member, AIIMS-Patna, its Selection Committee had asked the hub to undergo an inspection so that postgraduate courses could be introduced to it.


"Nearly 12 other clinical departments will undergo inspection by November 9, so that they can take admissions in the PG courses for December session," the faculty member added reports TOI.
