Bihar announces 20 percent incentives for doctors in rural healthcare
The 20 percent incentives to doctors was announced by the Chief Minister, Raghubar Das at Rajendra Institute of Medical Sciences (RIMS), Ranchi when he inaugurated a multi level parking, stadium and mechanized laundry in the government hospital. He also gave away 20 ambulances to the state health department on the occasion, some of them will be put to use at RIMS. Other medical colleges and community health centers are also to benefit from this vehicle distribution.
The BS community healthcare courses are meant to uplift health services at primary health centers, while nursing courses to be introduced at Sadar hospitals are to generate employment for girls and an increase the numbers of health care workers.
The Chief Minister said that a mechanized laundry would go a long way in maintaining cleanliness, as patients would be provided with clean bed sheets, blankets, towels and gowns. Speaking about the wide patient nexus coming into RIMS from Bihar, Chattisgarh and Odisha, the Chief minister revealed that a 5 cr dormitory would soon be set up to provide cheaper food for them.
He informed those present that the health insurance scheme introduced had received cabinet approval and would benefit 80 % of the population and therefore, needed to be publicized.
Das, while distributing appointment letters among doctors asked them to do dedicated work as negligence would not be tolerated.
Speaking of female feticide, he asked the civil surgeons to undertake registration of ultrasound machines in their areas. He also called for maintenance of cleanliness in order to bring govt hospitals at power with the private hospitals. He also invited public suggestions for the same reported the Avenue Mail.
Health Minister Ramchandra Chandravanshi was also present for the occasion.
