BHU junior doctors end strike

Uttar Pradesh: The recently reported strike at the Sir Sunder Lal Hospital, BHU (Banaras Hindu University) is reported to have ended, with junior doctors at the hospital resuming work.

The indefinite strike was called earlier by the junior doctors over an alleged matter of beating of a junior doctor by some students.

The university administration has ended the matter by taking a strict action against the students alleged to be involved in the incident. All his academic facilities have been suspended by the university administration.

As a step forward, a standing committee appointed on the matter has been put to task to identify more students involved in the incident. They have been given a set deadline to resolve the matter completely within next 15 days.

As reported by TOI, for another identified student of DAV PG College, the principal of the college has been asked to initiate disciplinary action against him for his alleged involvement in the incident.
