Bhopal: Medical student dies due to alleged absence of Transport
Bhopal: There was a student furor at the campus when a 4th year MBBS student sy People's Medical College suffered a chest pain and lost his life before reaching medical aid at Bhopal Memorial Hospital and Research Center (BMHRC), . It is alleged that the death occurred due to the refusal on the part of the doctors at the college hospital to provide the students with an ambulance to reach the victim to the BMHRC.
MBBS student, Ravi Garg, a Patna resident suffered chest pain on Wednesday. On being taken to the college hospital, he was referred to the BMHRC. The students allege that when asked for an ambulance for the patient, the doctors there refused saying that there was none available to transport the patient to BMHRC. They further claim that before they could reach Ravi to the BMHRC he passed away.
It is believed that after Ravi's death, the students present started protesting on the hospital premises. However, the Nishatpura police reached the hospital and controlled the students. The body of Ravi Garg has been sent for a post mortem.
