Aspirant Caught Cheating at AIIMS entrance exam, handed over to police

Jaipur: A CCTV surveillance at an examination centre at Maharishi Arvind College in Bhankrota, Jaipur saw a student caught red handed in the act of cheating during an AIIMS entrance exam. The cameras caught him release a mobile hand set from the in between of his shoe sole and take a picture of the question paper, to send it to a teacher in Uttar Pradesh through the WHATS app to get answers from him to the questions sent.


The invigilators saw him in the act and handed him over to the police. He was found to have cut the outer part of the outsole of his shoe to hide the phone to bring it into the examination hall.


It was when the examination was on that he took out his mobile from the space between the shoe and took a picture of the question paper, only to be caught by the cameras in action.


“He was sending the paper to a teacher in Uttar Pradesh so that he could get answers to the paper. But there were CCTVs installed in the examination center. His act was caught on the CCTV. It alerted the invigilators. They seized his mobile phone and handed him to the police. An FIR has been registered against him. He was arrested. Further investigation is going on,” the officer told the Pink City Post.
