Andhra Pradesh: MCI gives assent to SVIMS Tirupati MD Radiology Course

Tirupati: The Sri Venkateswara Institute of Medical Sciences (SVIMS), MD Radiology course has been given recognition by the Medical Council of India (MCI), which has also consented to a seat increase to seven from the present academic year revealed Dr TS Ravi Kumar, Director-cum-Vice-Chancellor, SVIMS. He Congratulating the Radiology Department, HOD, Dr AY Lakshmi and other faculty, he also expressed gratitude to the Council for having granted an increase in the number of seats.


Modern diagnostic service are to be extended to the radiology department, installed with modern equipment. A mobile unit with mammography facility for rural and cancer ridden women patients has also been put on wheels. Diagnostic tests for cancer can be done in the mobile unit, Dr. Ravi Kumar told Hans India.
