MBBS, BDS admission process in Telangana to begin on 9th July

Hyderabad: The Kaloji Narayana University of Health Sciences(KNUHS), issued the detailed admission notification recently . It announced the online application process for MBBS and BDS seats in Telangana as beginning from 9th July.


The notification states that the online applications will be available on www.medam.tsche.in website from 11 am July 9 upto 5 pm July 18.


On the basis of applications received, the university will issue the provisional state merit list on July 20. This would be followed by the certificate verification process, dates of which will be notified later by the university.


The verification process would involve, candidates to paste a passport size photograph similar to that pasted while applying for NEET-UG 2017 in the space provided on the online application form


The original certificates verification will also call for a similar process , along with two sets of self-attested copies of required certificates, at the university notified centers at the time of verification.


The final merit positions of candidates eligible to exercise web options will be released after verification of original certificates at the centers notified by the university. "The notification for exercising web options, by candidates in state merit list will be issued separately on KNRUHS website," stated the admission notification.


There are 3,200 MBBS seats of which 1050 are in the convener quota category in 7 government medical colleges; while of the 1,140 BDS seats, 506 belong to the convener quota category in 12 government and private unaided colleges.


Speaking about reserved categories the statement declared that 33 1/3 percent of seats are for women and candidates in each category. 15% are reserved for scheduled caste candidates’ 6% for scheduled tribe in each of the local areas. Meanwhile, it also declared 29% of seats as reserved for the backward classes reports TOI.
