Hyderabad: Fathima Medical College students have begun to see a silver lining behind their de-recognition cloud, as Andhra Pradesh Health Minister Dr. Kamineni Srinivas met the Officials of the Medical Council of India (MCI), to discuss a plan for student transfers to other colleges that have been in a limbo for some time now due to the MCI’s de-recognition of the Institute for the year 2015-16.

The Health Minister told the media that the government was willing to absorb these students in the various government colleges of the state, preferably nine in each college.

The management of Fathima College would be transferring the fee paid by students to their respective colleges of transfer.

The Minister spoke of the MCI’s willingness to allow filling up of 24 super specialty seats lying vacant all over again through NTR Health University.

The Minister also sought permission to allow in-service doctors above 45 years of age to pursue PG studies and revealed the positivity expressed in the direction by the authorities, reports Hans India.
