Andhra Pradesh: 9th Convocation of SVIMS held

Tirupati: The 9th convocation of Sri Venkateswara Institute of Medical Sciences (SVIMS) recently held at Mahati Auditorium on Saturday, December 1st.


Andhra Pradesh Minister for Medical Education N Md Farook chaired the convocation in the capacity of Chairman-cum-chancellor, the institute had stated in a release earlier.


Tirupati-based Indian Institute of Science Education and Research (IISER) Director Prof Krishna N Ganesh delivered the convocation address.


TTD Trust Board Chairman Putta Sudhakar Yadhav, Health Services Director-General Dr S Venkatesh attended the convocation as chief guests and addressed the gathering.


The Minister presided the convocation and best outgoing students were awarded.


As many as 301 students received degrees at the event and among them, 46 are MD/DM/MCh specialist doctors.
