AIIMS PG January 2020: Round 1 Counselling Results released
New Delhi: The All India Institute of Medical Sciences (AIIMS) has released the First Round of Online Counselling Result for AIIMS PG January 2020 Session.
As per the schedule for 1st Round of Online Counselling (Online allocation of PG Course) for AIIMS PG courses in MD/MS/MCh(6 years)/DM(6 years)/MDS, January 2020 Session, the eligible candidates mentioned in the document attached below have exercised their choices (AIIMS and subject/specialty) from 11.00 am 07.12.2019 to 5.00 pm 09.12.2019. Accordingly, the Online Counselling (Online allocation of PG Course) for 1st Round has been done.

1. This list includes all candidates who were eligible for the 1st Round of Online Counselling (Online allocation of PG Course) (Those who have either registered or not registered for the Online Counselling (Online allocation of PG Course) process through the online portal).
2. This list does not include Foreign Nationals/Sponsored candidates.
3. Candidates who did not participate in the 1st Round of Online Counselling (Online allocation of PG Course) are NOT ELIGIBLE for the 2ndand 3rd of Round of Online Counselling (Online allocation of PG Course) but can participate in the Open Round of Counselling.
4. For the 2nd round, the order of Online Counselling (Online allocation of PG Course) will be based on the merit order used for the 1st Round (including institutional preference seats) with no further change.
PROCEDURE TO BE FOLLOWED BY CANDIDATES WHO HAVE BEEN ALLOTTED PG COURSE/SUBJECT IN THE 1ST ROUND OF ONLINE COUNSELLING (ONLINE ALLOCATION OF PG COURSE)
All candidates who have been allotted a PG Course/Subject in the 1stRound of Online Counselling (Online allocation of PG Course) are required to visit the website and actively exercise one of the following options by 5.00 PM on 18th December, 2019. Failure to select any of the option as below will lead to forfeiture of the allocated PG Course/Subject and the candidate will become ineligible to participate in 2nd and 3rd Round.
Option 1. ACCEPT allotted PG Course/Subject and DO NOT WISH TO PARTICIPATE in further rounds of PG Course/Subject Allocation
Option 2. ACCEPT allotted PG Course/Subject and WANT TO PARTICIPATE in 2nd ROUND of PG Course/Subject Allocation
Option 3. DECLINE / REFUSE allotted PG Course/Subject and DO NOT WISH TO PARTICIPATE in 2nd and 3rd ROUND of PG Course/Subject Allocation
Option 4. DECLINE/ REFUSE allotted PG Course/Subject and WANT TO PARTICIPATE in 2nd ROUND of PG Course/Subject Allocation
Instruction for each option is as follows:
Option 1: If the Option of ACCEPT allotted PG Course/Subject and DO NOT WISH TO PARTICIPATE in further rounds of Counselling is selected then,
• The candidate will have to go to the allotted AIIMS by 5.00 PM on 18th December, 2019 with the Offer Letter (downloaded from the MyPage after login at www.aiimsexams.org) and report to the allotted Institute for depositing original certificates OR a Demand Draft (DD) of Rs. 3 Lakhs only (Rupees Three Lakhs only) in the name of the allotted AIIMS (see details below) along with photocopies of certificates. The DD will be refunded when original certificates are deposited.
• It must be noted that by exercising this choice the candidate is OPTING NOT TO PARTICIPATE IN FURTHER ROUNDS OF PG COURSE/SUBJECT ALLOCATION.
• If original certificates are not deposited at the time of joining, these will have to be submitted within 5 days of taking admission, otherwise admission will be cancelled, the deposited money will be forfeited, and candidate will not be eligible for any further participation in counselling. In the event of a candidate who has exercised this option but does not join by 5.00 PM on 18th December, 2019, the admission will be cancelled and he / she shall become ineligible for participating in all further rounds of Online Counselling (Online allocation of PG Course). However these candidates can participate in the Open Round of PG Course/Subject Allocation.
Option 2: If the option of ACCEPT allotted PG Course/Subject and WANT TO PARTICIPATE in 2nd ROUND of Online Counselling (Online allocation of PG Course) is selected
• The candidate will have to go to the allotted AIIMS by 5.00 PM on 18th December, 2019 with the Offer Letter (downloaded from the MyPage after login at www.aiimsexams.org) and report to the allotted Institute for depositing original certificates OR a Demand Draft (DD) of Rs. 3 Lakhs only (Rupees Three Lakhs only) in the name of the allotted AIIMS (see details below) along with self attested photocopies of certificates. The DD will be refunded when original certificates are deposited for joining a seat in any round of counselling but will be forfeited if no PG Course/Subject is opted at the end of all rounds.
• In the event of a candidate who has exercised this option but does not join by 5.00 PM on 18th December, 2019, the admission will be cancelled and he / she shall become ineligible for participating in all further rounds of Online Counselling (Online allocation of PG Course).
• The candidate shall be eligible for the 2nd round of Online Counselling (Online allocation of PG Course).
• The candidates choosing this option must join the PG Course/Subject allotted by up‐gradation in 2nd Round and the PG Course/Subject allocated in the 1st Round will be released automatically. Such candidates cannot retain PG Course/Subject allotted earlier and failure to join the PG Course/Subject shall lead to imposition of penalty of Rs. 3 lakh.
Option 3: If the option of DECLINE / REFUSE allotted PG Course/Subject and DO NOT WISH TO PARTICIPATE in 2nd and 3rd ROUND of Online Counselling (Online allocation of PG Course) is selected
• The allocated PG Course/Subject will be vacated and the candidate will not be eligible to participate in 2nd and 3rd Round of PG Course/Subject Allocation. The Candidate will not be able to claim this PG Course/Subject if this option is selected.
• It must be noted that by exercising this choice the candidate is OPTING NOT TO PARTICIPATE IN 2nd and 3rd ROUNDS OF SEAT ALLOCATION.
Option 4: If the offer of DECLINE/ REFUSE allotted PG Course/Subject and WANT TO PARTICIPATE in 2nd ROUND of PG
Course/Subject Allocation is selected
• This allocated PG Course/Subject will be vacated and the candidate will not be able to claim this PG Course/Subject.
• The candidate is required to download the Offer Letter (from the MyPage after login at www.aiimsexams.org) and report to any of following seven AIIMS (New Delhi, Bhopal, Bhubaneswar, Jodhpur, Patna, Raipur and Rishikesh) to deposit either the original certificates OR Demand Draft (DD) of Rs. 3 Lakhs only (Rupees Three Lakhs only) in the name of Director, AIIMS, New Delhi with Photocopies of certificates
• The Certificates / DD along with photocopies of certificates can be deposited in any of the seven AIIMS (New Delhi, Bhopal, Bhubaneswar, Jodhpur, Patna, Raipur and Rishikesh) by the candidate OR his/her authorized representative by 5.00 PM on 18th December, 2019.
• The candidate shall be eligible for 2nd Round of Online Counselling (Online allocation of PG Course) only after Original Certificates/DD with photocopies of certificates have been deposited at any AIIMS.
• The certificates will be verified for eligibility.
• The DD/Original Certificates will be returned if the candidate declines the allotted PG Course/Subject even in the 2nd round of Online Counselling (Online allocation of PG Course).
Note: If any candidate who has been allocated a PG Course/Subject in the 1st Round of Online Counselling (Online allocation of PG Course) does not respond in any of the above manner, his /her offer of Course shall be cancelled and he/she shall be ineligible for all further Rounds of counseling except the Open Round of Counselling.
POLICY REGARDING THE DEPOSITING OF DOCUMENTS/CERTIFICATES/DD
The claim to the allotted PG Course/Subject by candidates is subject to verification of original documents for eligibility as applicable as well as biometric verification of candidature. If a candidate fails to submit all required certificates (original or photocopies with DD) his/her candidature will be cancelled, the offer of Course will be vacated for next Round and he/she will not be allowed to participate in subsequent stages of selection/admission process. However, the
candidate will be eligible for the Open Round of PG Course/Subject Allocation.
List of Documents/Certificates that are required to be deposited in Original OR duly Attested / Self Attested photocopy (after due verification of originals) along with Demand Draft as applicable.
i) Offer Letter
ii) Seat allocation letter
iii) Final Registration Slip
iv) Admit Card issued by AIIMS.
v) Mark Sheets of MBBS/BDS 1st, 2nd and 3rd Professional Examinations.
vi) MBBS/BDS Degree Certificate.
vii) Internship Completion Certificate/Certificate from the Head of Institution or College that the candidate will be completing the internship by 31st January 2020.
viii) Permanent/Provisional Registration Certificate issued by MCI or DCI/State Medical or Dental Council.
ix) High School/Higher Secondary Certificate/Birth Certificate as proof of date of birth. (Matriculation)
x) The Candidate should also bring the following certificate, if applicable*:
a. SC/ST/OBC/EWS Certificate* issued by the competent authority and should be in English or Hindi in language. Community should be clearly mentioned in the certificate.
Note: OBC Certificate* should be issued by the competent authority for central Govt. jobs/for admission in Central Govt. College/ Institute. The sub‐caste should tally with the Central List of OBC. OBC Certificates that are applicable only for respective State Governments shall not be acceptable. OBC certificate must be in the Central Govt. Format as prescribed in the prospectus. OBC Candidates should not belong to Creamy Layer.
* The allocated PG Course/Subject of candidates who fail to produce valid certificates of respective constitutional categories (OBC, SC/ST/EWS) will be forfeited and the candidates will be permitted to participate in further rounds under UR category subject to conditions applicable to UR merit list.
* The validity of OBC (NCL)/EWS certificate shall be 12.10.2018 to 03.12.2019 (both date inclusive). Any certificate issued within this period shall be accepted. b. Physical Disability Certificate** issued from a duly constituted and authorized Medical Board as mentioned in the prospectus.
Note: Candidates must note that a certificate from any other person/authority will not be accepted and no further correspondence in this regard shall be entertained. The name, designation and the seal of the officer should be legible in the certificate.
** The allocated PG Course/Subject of candidates who fail to produce valid certificate of PWBD category will be forfeited and the candidates will be permitted to participate in further round under their respective constitutional category subject to conditions applicable to respective merit list.
CONTACT DETAILS OF RESPECTIVE AIIMS FOR ADMISSION TO AIIMS PG COURSES FOR JANUARY 2020 SESSION.
Candidates who have been allotted PG Course/Subject and have chosen option that requires them to deposit certificate / DD should approach Nodal officer/official at respective AIIMS as given below. Those who have chosen option 1 and 2 (see above) and wish to deposit DD then the DD should be in the favour of respective AIIMS as mentioned below. For the candidates who have chosen Option 4, i.e. DECLINE/ REFUSE allotted seat and WANT TO PARTICIPATE in 2nd round of Seat Allocation, the Demand Draft (as applicable) shall be in the name of Director, AIIMS, New Delhi irrespective of the AIIMS where the DD is submitted.

POLICIES REGARDING ELIGIBILITY FOR 2nd ROUND
The candidates who are allocated PG Course/Subject in the 1st round and have chosen the option 2 and 4 (mentioned above) and have fulfilled the requirements are eligible for the 2nd Round of Online Counselling (Online allocation of PG Course).
All the candidates who had participated in the 1stround and were not allocated any PG Course/Subject will automatically be eligible for the next round. Those who have secured more than 50th percentile marks in the entrance examination but not called for 1st ROUND counselling will not be eligible for the 2nd and 3rdround of Online Counselling (Online allocation of PG Course) but will be eligible for Open Round of PG Course/Subject Allocation.
All candidates who were eligible for the Mock/1st Round of Counselling but did not register or fill choices (NR/NP in this notification) are not eligible for the 2nd and 3rd Rounds of Counselling.
GENERAL RULES ADOPTED FOR 1st ROUND OF ONLINE COUNSELLING (ONLINE ALLOCATION OF PG COURSE)
1. Merit shall be the guiding and overruling principle for counselling.
a. The merit list as published in the Result Notification No. 187/2019 dated 22/11/2019 shall be used to determine merit
b. All candidates whether of the unreserved or appropriate reserved category shall be eligible for the unreserved category PG Course/ Subject in order of merit
c. Unreserved category candidates are not eligible for reserved category PG Course/Subject
d. For an available PG Course/Subject in a particular category/ preference a candidate higher in merit shall be allotted the PG Course/Subject over candidate lower in merit.
e. The validity of OBC (NCL)/EWS certificate shall be 12.10.2018 to 03.12.2019 (both date inclusive). Any certificate issued within this period shall be accepted.
2. The PG Course/Subject available for allocation are: Unreserved (UR), OBC (Other Backward Class), Scheduled Caste (SC), Scheduled Tribe (ST), Economically Weak Section (EWS), PWBD (Persons with Benchmark Disability), AIIMS Preferential PG Course/Subject
Unreserved PG Course/Subject: All candidates are eligible
OBC PG Course/Subject: Only OBC candidates are eligible
SC PG Course/Subject: Only SC candidates are eligible
ST PG Course/Subject: Only ST candidates are eligible
EWS PG Course/Subject: Only EWS candidates are eligible
PWBD PG Course/Subject: Only PWBD candidates are eligible
AIIMS Preferential PG Course/Subject: Only graduates from respective AIIMS (only AIIMS, New Delhi are eligible for UR PG Course/Subject of the respective AIIMS.
a. All reservations other than for PWBD are vertical reservations (reserved only in the respective categories)
b. PWBD Reservations are horizontal reservations (across categories)according to a point‐based roster as mentioned in the prospectus
c. Courses for PWBD reservation that remain vacant DURING 1st round of counseling will be released for counseling in the Mock Round itself in their respective categories
d. AIIMS Preferential PG Course/Subject for AIIMS graduates shall be available amongst the UR PG Course/Subject
3. Every candidate shall be allocated his/her best choice available at that rank for the 1st Round.
4. If at a particular rank for a candidate, the best choice of the candidate is available in both the open merit (unreserved) as well as a reserved category (wherever applicable) then the PG Course/Subject shall be allocated under the unreserved category and not the reserved category.
a. PG Course/Subject in the reserved category for every candidate shall be allocated only there is no corresponding PG Course/Subject available in the unreserved category for the best choice of the candidate available at that rank
b. If an PWBD (PWD) candidate gets a better choice in the open merit UR/OBC/SC/ST/EWS he/she will be given that choice
5. For Persons with Disability (more than 40%) a 5% horizontal reservation shall be followed for the and PG Course/Subject shall be allocated on basis of merit
a. PWBD candidates are eligible only for the category to which he/she belongs i.e. If a candidate belongs to a reserved category, he /she is eligible for a PG Course/Subject only under that category and not in the unreserved category (horizontal reservation)
i. Eligible PWBD candidate of UR category can avail a reserved PG Course/Subject only in the UR category
ii. Eligible PWBD candidate of OBC category can avail a reserved PG Course/Subject only in the OBC category
iii. Eligible PWBD candidate of SC category can avail a reserved PG Course/Subject only in the SC category
iv. Eligible PWBD candidate of ST category can avail a reserved PG Course/Subject only in the ST category
v. Eligible PWBD candidate of EWS category can avail a reserved PG Course/Subject only in the ST category
6. AIIMS preference Allocation: For AIIMS‐New Delhi the Institutional Preference shall be allocated according to the criteria mentioned in the Prospectus (page no 15).
7. Vacant PG Course/Subject in earlier rounds of counselling can be allotted in subsequent rounds by following the above rules.
8. All those candidates who filled choices in the Mock Round but did not edit (reorder/add/delete) their choices were considered for the 1st round of counselling.
