AIIMS PG 2019: 262 PG Medical Seats Up for Grabs, AIIMS releases 2nd Counselling Brochure

New Delhi: Through a recent notice All India Institute of Medical Sciences New Delhi informed about the 2nd Round of online counselling/seat allocation for MD/MS/Mch(6years)/DM(6years)/MDS January 2019 session. AIIMS also released the number of vacant seats course wise, at the various AIIMS across the country.


AS per the vacancy position revealed by AIIMS, there are total 262 seats for grabs across various MD/MS/Mch(6years)/DM(6years)/MDS in 7 AIIMS. These include

  • 39 Seats at AIIMS New Delhi

  • 43 Seats at AIIMs Bhopal

  • 35 seats at AIIMS Bhubaneshwar

  • 44 Seats at AIIMS Jodhpur

  • 29 seats at AIIMS Patna

  • 43 Seats at AIIMS Raipur

  • 29 Seats at AIIMS Rishikesh

Important:


Even if the candidate does not wish to change the choices or their order, he/she must log in at least once to record their willingness to participate in 2nd Round of counselling from 19.12.2018 (5:00 PM) to 21.12.2018 (5:00 PM) on the portal otherwise you will be treated ineligible for 2nd Round of seat allocation.


Eligibility:


Eligible:


The following candidates will be eligible to participate in 2nd Round of online counselling/seat allocation:


1. The candidates who have opted Option-2 (ACCEPT allotted seat and WANT TO PARTICIPATE in 2nd ROUND of Seat Allocation) and want to participate in 2nd Round of seat allocation.


2. All those candidates who have chosen Option-4 (DECLINE/Refuse allotted seat and want to participate in 2nd Round of seat allocation) and have deposited original documents/DD.


3. All the candidates who were eligible to participate but were not allocated seat in the 1st round of counselling as per their filled choices.


Not Eligible:


1. All those candidates who did not participate in1stRound.


2. All those candidates who were allotted seat in the 1st Round but did not choose any option online to proceed by 14th December 2018, 5.00pm.


3. All those candidates who were allotted seat in 1st Round chose Option 1 and completed necessary formalities towards joining the respective institutions by 14th December 2018, 5:00 pm.


4. All those candidates who were allotted seats and chose option 1, 2 or 4 but did not submit the required documents/Demand Draft at A.I.I.M.S. by 14th December 2018 5.00pm.

Procedure:


1. The eligible candidates for the 2nd Round will have to log in for PG Online Counselling/Seat Allocation portal [PASS/PG MedDen 2018 of AIIMS, New Delhi]. The link for the portal will be activated for eligible candidates in the
MyPage accessible by logging in using the credential that they have used for filling the application form and other processes related to AIIMS PG entrance examination for January 2019 session.


2. The PG online counselling/seat allocation portal will show the seat filled by the candidates in the 1st Round of counselling. The candidates can edit (add, delete, reorder) choices (AIIMS and Subject/Speciality). Even if the
candidate does not wish to change the choices or their order, the candidate must log in at least once to record their willingness to participate in 2nd Round by the dates specified in the Important Dates Link. It may be noted that it is mandatory for candidates to log in at least once to record their participation in the 2nd Round of counselling even if they do not wish to change their sequence of choice exercised earlier.


3. For the candidates who had chosen Option 2 (ACCEPT allotted seat and WANT TO PARTICIPATE in 2nd ROUND of Seat Allocation) in the 1st Round of Online Counseling/Seat Allocation, the already allotted choice (AIIMS and
subject/speciality) cannot be deleted from the choices. They can add, delete, reorder other choices. Any choice lower than the already allotted seat will NOT be considered for 2 nd Round of Counselling/Seat/Allocation.


4. The seat allocation will be done in order of the merit and according to choices made by the candidate. The order of seat allocation will be UR/50% AIIMS preferential/SC/ST/OBC as per past practice. When a reserved candidate who is in the combined merit list is being allocated a seat, a higher preference seat, if available in the concerned reserved category, will automatically be allocated. If a subject being allocated as per choice by such a candidate is simultaneously available both in the unreserved and reserved category at the time of allocation of his/her rank, then the unreserved seat will be allocated. The allocation of seats in the reserved category will be done only after the allocation of seats in the unreserved category.


5. The Portal will be opened for dates specified in the Important Dates link in the Portal. The choices made by the candidate will be locked either by the candidate OR automatically on the last Date and Time specified in the Important Dates link in the Portal.


6. All the candidates who are allocated seats in the 2 ndRoundare required to log in to the PG Online Counselling/Seat Allocation portal and actively choose one of the following options within date and time specified in the Important Dates link:


Option 1. ACCEPT allotted seat and DO NOT WISH TO PARTICIPATE in further rounds of Seat Allocation


Option 2. ACCEPT allotted seat and WANT TO PARTICIPATE in 3 round of Seat Allocation


Option 3. DECLINE/REFUSE allotted seat and DO NOT WISH TO PARTICIPATE in 3 round of Seat Allocation


Option 4. DECLINE/REFUSE allotted seat and WANT TO PARTICIPATE in 3 round of Seat Allocation


Failure to log in and selecting an option within date and time specified in the Important Dates link will lead to forfeiture of the allotted seat and render you ineligible for 3 rd round.


7. All the candidates who are allocated seats and who choose to Accept as in Option 1 and 2 (as mentioned in point no. 6) are required to report to allocated AIIMS within the date and time specified in the important Dates linkandare required to deposit original certificates/Demand Draft of Rs. 3 Lakh and other documents that will be mentioned in result notification of the seat allocation of the 2 round of Online Counselling. However, those candidates who have chosen Option 1 and submitted a DD of Rs. 3 Lakh in lieu of original Certificate / Documents are required to submit original Certificate / Documents within 05 days of submitting the DD and failing which the admission will be cancelled and the DD amount will be forfeited. Such candidates are not eligible for a further round of Seat Allocation /Counselling except for the Open Round of Counselling.


8. All the candidates who are allocated seats and who choose to DECLINE as in Option 4 (as mentioned in point no. 6) are required to deposit original certificates/Demand Draft of Rs. 3 Lakh and other documents that will be
mentioned in result notification of the seat allocation of the 2 round of online counselling to any of the seven AIIMS (New Delhi, Bhopal, Bhubaneshwar, Jodhpur, Patna, Raipur, Rishikesh) within the date and time specified in the Important Dates link.


9. Candidates availing constitutional reservation in the 2 ndRoundmust show valid proof of their claim for a reserved seat at allocated AIIMS when they are depositing original certificates/Demand Draft of Rupees 3.00 Lakhs. In case
they do not possess a valid certificate then their claim for the reserved seat allocated in 2ndRound will be nullified and they will be eligible to appear in the 3 round as UR candidate provided they deposit the original certificates/Demand Draft at the allocated AIIMS.


10.Candidates availing PWBD horizontal reservation in the 2 round must show valid proof of their claim for a reserved seat at allocated AIIMS when they are depositing original certificates/Demand Draft of Rupees 3.00 Lakhs. In case they do not possess a valid certificate then their claim for the reserved seat allocated in 2 round will be nullified and they will be eligible to appear in the 3 round as UR/OBC/SC/ST candidate in their respective category as applicable without PWBD reservation provided they deposit the original certificates/Demand Draft at the allocated AIIMS.


11.If the candidate who had chosen Option 2 (ACCEPT allotted seat and WANT TO PARTICIPATE in 2nd ROUND of Seat Allocation) gets a seat choice in the 2nd Round that is higher than the already allotted seat in the 1st Round, then the seat allotted in the 1st Round will be released for 2nd Round of Counselling.
Therefore, the Candidates must keep in mind that seats other than those left vacant after 1st Round Counselling/seat allocation may become available during the course of 2nd Round of Seat allocation and thus must exercise choices carefully.


12. All disputes pertaining to the conduct of the examination by AIIMS and Online Counselling/Seat Allocation will be subject to the jurisdiction of the High Court of Delhi.


13. The 3rd round will be initiated after completion of the 2nd round.
