SN Medical College biometric machines fail authorities on the first day

Agra: The Sarojini Naidu Medical College Agra biometric installations refused to register doctor thumbs for attendance on Friday, the 1st day that they were put to task for it. Creating a commotion of sorts among the staff.


Over a dozen of the 15 installed machines failed to register thumb impressions of the college staff.


Government colleges across the state had been issued instructions to mark staff attendance through biometric machine installations.


The SNMC authorities had made preparations in advance, however, only three were registered attendance out of the 15.


Talking to TOI, Chief Medical Superintendent, S N Medical College said, "We noticed that few of the biometric machines were not registering the attendance. We called up the engineers of the agency concerned to sort out the issue. We will also inform the higher medical authorities about this issue. We have asked the doctors to register their attendance in working biometric machines."


Above 250 doctors had to register their attendance through biometric machines in the college from December 1 onwards.
