ABVP activists protest over fee hike in medical colleges

Thiruvananthapuram: Akhil Bharatiya Vidyarthi Parishad (ABVP) activists on Thursday staged protest outside the Kerala Secretariat over the issue of fee hike in self-financing medical colleges in Thiruvananthapuram.

The demonstration by students outside the secretariat turned violent, leaving police with no option than to lathicharge the protestors to disperse the crowd. Water cannons were used against the agitating students to bring situation under control.
