412 NEET coaching centers by Sept: TN School Education Minister

Chennai: With the National Eligibility cum Entrance Test (NEET) becoming an inevitability for admission to medical colleges, the government was trying to provide support to maximum number of students in order to help them prepare for NEET

School Education Minister, K.A. Sengottaiyan speaking at the Golden Jubilee Celebrations of SRM Nightingale Matriculation Higher Secondary School on Monday, announced the setting up of a total of 412 National Eligibility cum Entrance Test(NEET) coaching centres, with 3,200 teachers in the state from the first week of September.

"Besides computerised classrooms with internet connectivity will be provided for students of classes IX to XII students learn their lessons easily," he explained to the Hindu.

Meanwhile, the School Education Department commenced training sessions for teachers from all over the state of Tamil Nadu last week. This was done in order to provide National Eligibility cum Entrance Test (NEET) coaching to medical aspirants of the state.

320 teachers participated in the five-day training program at Sathyabama Institute. A total of 10 teachers from each district attended, with 5 subject experts at the helm at Sri Chaitanya Institute.

With teacher's training having ended these teachers will now go on to train teachers in their districts to conduct the weekend National Eligibility cum Entrance Test (NEET) coaching classes for students in government schools. This preparation has been done for students appearing for National Eligibility cum Entrance Test( NEET) 2019 reported the Hindu.
