Final round of medical counselling commences on Monday

Thiruvananthapuram: Counselling for biology based courses for government and private medical colleges in the union territory will begin from Monday. With this commencement counselling enters its third and final phase and opens with 10 vacant MBBS seats.

This Counselling for vacant seats would center around medicine, dental courses and paramedical courses in self financing courses announced the Centralised Admission Committee.


These 10 vacant seats fall under various categories in the following colleges:


Two each at the Indira Gandhi Government Medical College and Research Institute (IGMCRI), Mahatma Gandhi Medical College and Research Institute, Sri Lakshmi Narayana Institute of Medical Sciences, Sri Venkateshwara Medical College Hospital and Research Centre in Puducherry and the Vinayaga Mission's Medical College in Karaikal.


However, Pondicherry Institute of Medical Sciences, Sri Manakula Vinayagar Medical College and Aarupadai Veedu Medical College and Hospital have no vacancies.


A CENTAC notice announces that counselling for biology based courses will be held between 9 a.m. and 4 p.m.


B.Pharm course counselling will begin at 8.45 a.m. on Wednesday and will continue till 12 noon.
