2 principals appointed for 2 medical colleges in Telangana state

Telangana: Dr. K Durga and Dr. Ch N Rajakumari have been appointed principals of the two upcoming medical colleges of Suryapet and Nalgonda respectively. The two colleges are to commence classes from the next academic year. The names of the two ladies have been announced by the state government. The credit for the two appointments goes to Minister for Energy, G Jagadish Reddy who ensured that the principal appointments took place before academic sessions at the two institutions commenced.


Dr. Rajakumari is professor and head of the Department of Physiology Department at Kakatiya Medical College in Warangal.


Dr. Durga is professor and head of the Department of Pathology Department at Osmania Medical College in Hyderabad.


Meanwhile, Jagadish Reddy went into a meeting with the Minister for Health C Laxma Reddy and Minister for Finance Eatala Rajender to discuss the status of medical colleges in Nalgonda and Suryapet.


He expressed his gratitude to Chief Minister, K Chandrashekar Rao for consenting to the establishments of two medical colleges in the state reported the Hindu.
