100 doctor posts to be filled to strengthen healthcare facility: Himachal HM

Shimla: Health Minister, Vipin Singh Parmar at a meeting with officers of the Health Department, on Saturday, spoke of the government’s intention to strengthen health services of the state further and said people would be benefitted in a big way under the universal health protection scheme, as the government planned to fill up 100 vacant posts of doctors to cater to health needs of the people living in rural areas.


The Minister spoke of infrastructural facilities being strengthened at Chamba, Ner Chowk, and Nahan Medical Colleges also.


He visited the Indira Gandhi Medical College and Hospital in Shimla and held a meeting with the Principal and Department Heads. Mr Parmar instructed the hospital administration to provide the best facilities to patients and keep the hospital premises clean, reported TOI.
