Writing and publishing a scientific research paper- Book edited by JIPMER, Director released

Puducherry: A book titled 'Writing and Publishing a Scientific Research Paper' has bee released by the Consul General of France, Catherine Surad. Edited by Jawaharlal Institute of Postgraduate Medical Education and Research (Jipmer), Director S C Parija, and Professor, (Surgery), Vikram Kate. The said book has been published by Springer.

"A research student is generally guided by his or her professor personally. This book serves as a replacement of this guide as it guides the scholar step by step in research methodology with special reference to the medical field," said the Consul General to Times of India, while highlighting how the book was an apt guide for research students.

Highlighting experiences of eminent international and national authors specializing in writing and publishing research papers, the book comprises of 18 chapters.

Crucial areas related to writing and publishing are covered by this writing work and there is a strong focus on how to deal with rejected manuscripts, reviewers' perspective, ethical issues, and plagiarism.

The book is also an insight into the do's and don't s of research paper writing and how to carry troubleshooting while writing a paper on any research, reports TOI.
